VOTE EARLY

Since 1999 Nebraska law has not required that a person disclose a reason for requesting an Early Voting application. Any registered Nebraskan voter may apply for an Early Voting  ballot. All you have to do is contact your County Clerk or Election Commissioner in person at the election office, by personal agent, by mail or fax.

If you are planning to volunteer on Election Day, just want to avoid the lines, have a busy schedule, live far from a balloting place . . . whatever, you can vote early and avoid the problems.

April 7 is the first day that Nebraskans can begin casting early votes for the May 13 Primary Election. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by April 25 and in-person registration at county election offices ends at 6 P-M May 2. Early voting sites vary by county, so check with your local election officials to find out where you can vote early. There is more information available on the Nebraska Secretary of State's website.

Share this with everyone you know in Nebraska -- friends, family, and colleagues -- who is interested in exercising their fundamental right to vote on May 13.
