Three CD3 women receive awards at Morrison-Exon Dinner

Three outstanding Democratic women from the 3rd Congressional District were honored with awards being presented to them during the Nebraska Democratic Party's Morrison-Exon Dinner in Lincoln on Saturday, May 10. Carolee Koehn, the Scotts Bluff County Chair, was awarded the Bob Kerry 1st District Volunteer Award; Marion Bahensky, the Howard County Chair was awarded the Morrison/Exon Award; and Adams County Chair, Deb Quirk was given a personal recognition from outgoing NDP State Chair, Steve Achelpohl.

Bob Kerrey 3rd District Volunteer Award:

Nominees for this award should be a volunteer who personifies the spirit of the Nebraska Democratic Party. The award is given to an individual who is tireless in supporting the Nebraska Democratic Party activities and campaigns for Democratic candidates, and creates a positive image of the party and its candidates within the 3rd District.

Morrison/Exon Award:

Nominees for this award should be a County Party officer who has worked tirelessly to promote the activities and values of the Democratic Party in their county and throughout the state. This individual should have served, or continues to serve as an officer of their county party in the last year. Nominees should demonstrate a dedication to service, integrity, the organizing of their county party infrastructure, and support for local Democratic candidates.
